MIS 4th Graders Take Field Trip

The fourth grade classes at Mokena Intermediate School went on a field trip to the Morton Arboretum on October 10 and 11. The spent half of the day in the prairie experiencing what it would be like to walk through a prairie with a covered wagon along with identifying various plant and animal adaptations in the prairie. The other half of the day was spent in a botany lab taking a closer look at seeds, roots, and flower parts. What a great way to learn hands-on!
