Mokena 159 Fall Fling is almost here!

The Mokena Fall Fling is an annual event hosted by the Mokena School District 159 Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and the Mokena Educational Foundation (MEF). Together we raise funds that go directly back into the district through advances in curriculum, school assemblies, field trips, technology, classroom materials, activities for students, and much more.

This year’s Fall Fling will be on Friday, November 2 at The Alley Grill & Taphouse, located at 18700 Old LaGrange Road in Mokena. The adult-only event begins at 7:00 p.m. and features dinner, drinks, silent auctions, raffles, entertainment, and more.

Silent auction items include principal for a day, lunch with your child’s teacher, P.E. teacher for a day, and other great prizes for your child! You could win extra tickets to 8th grade graduation, free school registration for one year, free bus transportation for one year, a spa day, a three month Cooper’s Hark Wine Club membership, golf outings, and other wonderful items.

Individual tickets are $35 and family sponsorship tickets are $100, which includes TWO (2) tickets, a 50/50 raffle ticket, and recognition at the event.

Fall Fling is one of the largest fundraisers for the school district and we encourage all members from the community to attend, regardless of whether or not you have a child currently at one of the three schools. "The Fling is an annual fun night out for parents and staff and provides a great way to fundraise for our district. Past Flings have helped to purchase items such as white boards for classrooms and a new playground. This year, we have a number of exciting new items and experiences offered in our popular silent auction. Come on out, it's guaranteed to be a good time!” said Cara Bencic of the Mokena 159 PTA.
