Mokena Approves Three New Staff Hires

The board recently ratified the job appointments of Peggy Turlay-Ill, Jeff Puttkammer and Amanda Gabler.

MOKENA, IL — Three new employees have recently been approved by the Mokena village board. The board ratified the appointments of Peggy Turlay-Ill, Jeff Puttkammer and Amanda Gabler.

The village said Turlay-Ill will serve as a customer service representative at village hall. The position had been vacant since the summer. Turlay-Ill is 21-year resident of Mokena and has experience in accounting, legal work and retail.

Puttkammer, a Mokena resident, was hired as an entry-level meter reader. Puttkammer has worked for the village for two years installing radio read meters.

Lastly, Gabler was hired as a part-time community service officer at the Mokena Police Department. She previously worked as a community service officer for the Crestwood Police Department.
