Mokena Awards $177K Storm Sewer Project Contract

MOKENA, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Mokena Village Board awarded a $177,812 contract for the storm sewer improvement project on Hummingbird Lane.
Copenhaver Construction was awarded the contract for the project, which will include replacing 660 linear feet of storm sewer pipe in the backyards of properties along Hummingbird Lane, board documents state.
Dan Peloquin, Civil Engineer for the Village, said Copenhaver has done projects for the Village in the past and also submitted references for this type of work.

$200,000 was budgeted for the project, so Copenhaver's bid amount is $22,188 below budget, according to board documents.
