Mokena Breaks Ground on Senior Housing

Mokena officials this week broke ground on a senior housing facility at 21536 Wolf Rd.

The $31.7 million Clarendale of Mokena will feature 156 apartments in a three-story building, Sun-Times Media reports. It’s expected to open by fall 2015.

The development also includes a bistro, fitness center, and a private courtyard and pub, according to the report.

“I’ve never received so much interest from seniors,” Mayor Frank Fleischer told Sun-Times Media.
