Mokena Business Named One Of Fastest-Growing In Country

MOKENA, IL — A Mokena business has been named one of America's most successful, fastest-growing companies, according to Inc. magazine. The magazine recently released their annual report outlining the 5,000 fastest-growing privately owned companies in the nation.

Companies were ranked according to their percentage revenue growth from 2015 to 2018, according to the report. Illinois has 241 of the most successful new companies in the country.

Real People Realty in Mokena was ranked No. 2,912 on the list. The real estate company reported 129 percent growth and $9.9 million in revenue.

The Mokena company was founded in 2001 and has over 500 real estate agents.

The 5,000 companies come from over 25 different types of industry, including construction, real estate, and software. To earn a spot on the list, companies must have been generating revenue by March 31, 2015, and then had a minimum revenue of $2 million by 2018. Additionally, all the companies are privately held, for profit, and independent of any other larger company, according to Inc.
