Mokena Citizens Police Academy Applications Open
The 2018 Mokena Citizens Police Academy will meet on Thursday nights at the Will County Sheriff's building.

MOKENA, IL - The application period for the 2018 Mokena Citizens Police Academy is open. Anyone interested in taking the class that covers the ins and outs of the Mokena Police Department can fill out an application here.
Classes will take place on Thursday nights on March 1 for 12 consecutive weeks. The program is designed to inform citizens of the community how police and the criminal justice system work, according to a newsletter from the village of Mokena. It will be presented in "a casual, non-threatening manner that should be enjoyable for all participants."
The class will include a K-9 demonstration, tour of the Will County Coroner's Office and jail and a lesson on crime scene processing. It will take place Thursday nights at the Will County Sheriff's Building at 16911 W. Laraway Road in Joliet.
