Mokena Elementary School Playground Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

In collaboration with the Mokena Parent Teacher Association and the Mokena Educational Foundation, students, staff, and community members raised funds to purchase and install a new playground at Mokena Elementary School. This new playground replaces the banks of swings located on the west side of the building. Please join MES staff for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, August 21 at 3:15 p.m. as we show off our new equipment and celebrate the successful fundraising efforts of our school community.

Thank you to our families who supported the playground last school year by participating in the Walk-a-thon. We raised a lot of money that went toward the equipment!

Thank you to the Mokena Educational Foundation (MEF) for awarding $15,000 towards the playground. Lastly, thank you to the Mokena Park District partnered with MES this summer by tearing down the old equipment in the back of the school. Great things happen when everyone works together!
