Mokena Family Fall Fest Features Beer Tent, Live Music, Carnival & Kids' Activities

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Community Park District invites the community to welcome the season with its Family Fall Fest, set for Oct. 1–4.

Held at Yunker Farm and The Oaks Recreation and Fitness Center, 10824 W. LaPorte Rd., the fest features a carnival, beer and concessions, live music, crafts and family-friendly activities.

A beer tent and food will be offered Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday 12 to 10 p.m.

A carnival will be held in the parking of The Oaks Recreation and Fitness Center, with hours set for:

• Thursday, Oct. 1: 5 to 9 p.m.
• Friday, Oct 2.: 5:30 to 10 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 3: 1 to 10 p.m.
• Sunday, Oct. 4: 1 to 5 p.m.
• Special needs carnival hours are Friday, 3:30 to 5 p.m. Form required.

Unlimited ride specials are $30 per person per day, applicable Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.

Primetime unlimited ride specials are $35 per person per day, with applicable hours set for 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Parking is available at The Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center, Yunker Farm, and Main Park. The fee is $5 per vehicle.

Kids activities run Saturday, Oct. 3 from 12 a.m. to 5 p.m., including make your own scarecrow, face painting, pumpkin patch, inflatables and more. An activity wristband is $20. Mokena residents are free.

Free concerts will be held Friday and Saturday nights at the Yunker Park Bandshell.

On Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., catch the band Exhale, followed by The Ron Burgundys from 8 to 10 p.m.

On Saturday, see Ignited from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by Hillbilly Rockstarz from 8 to 10 p.m.

Those looking to drop off a group at the event or using rideshare services are asked to pull in at The Oaks parking lot and use the drop-off lane. To keep traffic moving, please make sure your group is ready to be dropped off or picked up. There is no parking/waiting in the drop-off lane.
