Mokena Fire District Extinguishes Apartment Complex Fire
One person was evaluated for smoke inhalation, but was not taken to the hospital, the district said.
MOKENA, IL — Mokena Fire Protection District responded a laundry room fire in an apartment complex on Sept. 12. At 11:15 a.m. Thursday, the department said it responded to a 12-unit complex at 19325 S. Wolf Road.
The fire was located in the laundry room in the rear of the complex, and the fire was contained to the room, the department said. One resident was evaluated for smoke inhalation, but was not transported to the hospital.
The fire was under control and firefighters were picked up equipment by 11:49 a.m. Thursday. The department said responding units to the structure fire were from Mokena Fire, Tinley Park Fire, and Homer Township Fire.

The fire is being investigated by investigators from the Mokena Fire Protection District and the Frankfort Fire Protection District.
