Mokena Junior High Hosts Annual Volley For A Cure

MOKENA, IL — Mokena Junior High hosted its seventh annual Volley For A Cure event on Feb. 21. The event was a showdown between Mokena District 159 staff and Mokena first responders. The school said the first responders won all three games.

According to the school, the proceeds from the raffle ticket sale went to the Cancer Support Center, as well as a portion from T-shirt sales and the concession sales. Girl Scout Troop 71527 also made para cord bracelets and keychains to sell, and all proceeds also went to the Cancer Support Center.
