Mokena Library Holds Kids Diorama Contest

MOKENA, IL — If you're looking for a way to keep your family entertained during the long winter days, the Mokena Library is holding a Peeps diorama contest. According to the library, contest entrants can build a diorama using Peeps of any shape and color in a standard shoe box or comparably-sized item.

The library said the theme is up to the entrant, you could recreate a scene from a book or movie or reenact historical events. The contest is for kids in grades 4 through 8.

Submissions to the contest will be accepted between March 8 and March 19, with prizes awarded on March 26.
