Mokena Man Threatened County Clerk Employees: Police
The man was upset about his polling place being relocated, and threatened an employee's life, police said.

MOKENA, IL — A Mokena man has been charged after threatening an employee at the Will County Clerk's Office, the Will County Sheriff's Office said. Leonard Feiner, 69, has been charged with disorderly conduct after the incident Thursday.
The sheriff's office said an employee from the clerk's office answered the phone at 8:30 a.m. Thursday and spoke to Feiner. Feiner said he was upset about his polling place being relocated. The employee tried to calm Feiner down for almost 15 minutes, but he became more agitated and made a threatening statement.
Police said Feiner was transferred to the employee's supervisor, who also attempted to calm him, and explain that his new polling location would not be changed back to the original. Feiner continued to yell and use profanities, and then made a threatening statement in reference to ending the employee's life.

Deputies were called to the clerk's office in Joliet and spoke to the employee and the supervisor. Police said detectives then went to Feiner's home, where they spoke to him and brought him in for questioning.
During the interview, police said Feiner said he felt the polling place could easily be changed back simply by changing the address on a computer and that he thought those that he spoke to on the phone were lying to him, which made him angry.
