Mokena PD Brings National Night Out To Yunker Park

MOKENA, IL — On Tuesday, August 4, the Mokena Police Department will join law enforcement agencies across the country and host its annual National Night Out Celebration.

The free event, set for 6 to 8 p.m., will be held at Yunker Park, 10824 La Porte Rd. The event will feature games, music, food, a splash park and more.

The nationwide event held annually on the first Tuesday in August “promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer,” according to the National Association of Town Watch, the organization that founded the event in 1984.
