Music Video From St. Mary Staff Welcomes Kids Back To School
Watch: Teachers and staff members at St. Mary's School in Mokena recreated a famous scene from "Beauty and the Beast."

MOKENA, IL - Teachers and staff members at St. Mary Catholic School in Mokena turned a popular Disney song from "Beauty and the Beast" into "Welcome Back," the music video the school shared on social media welcoming its students back to school for the 2018-2019 school year.
It's the second time that Mrs. Cunningham, St. Mary's principal, shared a video to welcome students back to school. This 5-minute plus clip shown below involved all members of the faculty and staff and recreated the "Be Our Guest" scene from the 1992 hit movie. The music video included the act of pushing a student through the hallways and common areas in a rolling chair, welcoming her back to school in movie style.
The difference was the lyrics, which were all made to match the return to school theme, and that every face in the video is one familiar to St. Mary families.

"Every single faculty and staff member is in the video and it could only be a success with their participation and enthusiasm," said Maureen Hagwell, vice president of the St. Mary school board.
Mrs. Hinsdale, a music teacher and Mrs. Drennan, an art/STEAM teacher, helped Cunningham create the video by organizing props and choreographing the effort. The music was recorded by a choir.
