MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Boots, who is available for adoption at the humane society.
Boots is a 12-year-old male, grey and white domestic short hair cat. The society said his front paw is declawed, and he found as a stray. He did have a microchip, but the society believes he was abandoned as the previous owners did not respond to attempts to contact them.
Boots purrs when pet, and he is talkative and outgoing. The society said he loves to give head bumps when looking for pets. Ear and chin scratches are his favorite, and he loves to be brushed.
