MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Chopper, who is available for adoption at the humane society.
Chopper is an 8-year-old pit bull. The society said he was found as a stray and brought into NAWS. Chopper is eager to please and knows some commands, is treat motivated and takes treats very gently.
The society said he gets along with other dogs, and even likes cats. Chopper loves to go for walks and also walks pretty good on a leash. He loves to snuggle and get attention.

NAWS Humane Society of Illinois is located at 9981 W. 190th St., Suite A, in Mokena. The society is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
