NAWS Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Mama Mia

Mama Mia was found as a stray with her kittens in Peotone, before she was rescued and brought to NAWS.

MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Mama Mia, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

Mama Mia is a 3-year-old female domestic shorthair, dilute tortoiseshell cat. The society said she was found as a stray with her kittens in Peotone, before she was rescued and brought to NAWS. She's had a rough life outdoors, but she is sweet and loving.

The society said she has just learned how to play with toys and now loves to play. Mama Mia will immediately start purring and rubbing against you for pets when you walk into the room. She is affectionate and loves to curl up and sleep next to people.
