NAWS Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Rebel

Rebel was originally found as a stray in rural, southern Illinois.

MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Rebel, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

Rebel is a 3-year-old male Blue Tick Coonhound. The society said he was originally found as a stray in rural, southern Illinois. He was adopted from NAWS and spent some time in a home, but due to a changing family situation, Rebel was returned to the society.

Rebel is very gentle and sweet, the society said. He can be a little shy in new situations, so he will need a patient owner. He warms up quickly when he feels safe, and he is friendly with kids and other dogs.
