NAWS Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Stormy

Stormy was rescued from a local animal control to prevent her euthanasia.

MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Stormy, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

Stormy is a 1 and a half-year-old female pit bull. She was rescued from a local animal control to prevent her euthanasia. The society said Stormy is friendly, social and outgoing. She can be shy initially, but warms up quickly.

Stormy loves to play, is very energetic and gets the cutest "zoomies," the society said. She is treat-motivated and eager to learn, and already knows the 'sit' command. Stormy would likely do good with other dogs, but needs a slow introduction.
