MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Thackery, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

Thackery is a 1-year-old male, black and white domestic short-hair cat. The society said he was abandoned by his previous owners at a cat colony. Thacker is FIV positive, so he would need to be the only cat or live with other FIV-positive cats.

The society said Thackery loves attention and is very friendly and affectionate. He likes to be pet and loves to be held and cuddled.
