MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Wesley, who is available for adoption at the humane society.
Wesley is a one-year-old Pit Bull mix. The society said he is very outgoing, playful and friendly. Wesley is young, so he has a lot of energy and loves to play.
He likes other dogs, but would do best with dogs that have a similar energy level, the society said. Wesley is also treat-motivated and knows "sit." He loves attention and wants to be around people.

NAWS Humane Society of Illinois is located at 9981 W. 190th St., Suite A, in Mokena. The society is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
