NAWS Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Zoey

MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Zoey, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

Zoey is a 5-year-old female Border Collie mix. The society said she is a staff and volunteer favorite.

Zoey is good on a leash, doesn't have accidents and always listens to commands, the society said. She loves treats and will take them very gently. Zoey also loves to go on walks and will occasionally stop and sit on your feet, looking to be pet.

The society said Zoey is heartworm positive, so she is looking for a special family who will stay by her side until she finishes her treatment.
