Noonan Academy Competes in Providence Academic Bowl

Noonan had close to twenty 7th and 8th grade students come together to compete

On Saturday, November 6th, Noonan Elementary Academy participated in the Providence Catholic High School annual Academic Bowl. The students competed against 13 other schools, individually and as a team in the following areas: Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Mathematics, and Geography. Of the 14 schools that participated, Noonan took 2nd place in the 8th-grade team category receiving four individual trophies and their 7th-grade team received one individual trophy.

Noonan individual trophy winners are Annabelle Frieh (7th grade) -4th Place Social Studies, Riyaa Jain (8th grade) -1st Place in Language Arts, Aidan Villasenor (8th grade) -1st Place in Geography, Carrie Hudek (8th grade) – 3rd Place in Language Arts, and Hilton Garrett (8th grade) – 4th Place in Social Studies.

The 7th-grade team consisted of Melanie Hague, Gabrielle Falls, Sophia Valentini, Carina Dioro, Annabelle Frieh, Maya Krutul, Mikaylee Fich, and Vicki Crotty. The 8th-grade team consisted of Riyaa Jain, Julia McCarty, Carrie Hudek, Hilton Garrett, Kristianne Villasenor, Ishaan Patel, Michael Yep, Jameson So, Konstantinos Karnzis, Aidan Villasenor, and Bryce Christian.

Noonan Elementary Academy is an independent Catholic school in Mokena serving preschool through 8th grade.
