Mya Biddings is a 6th grader at Noonan Elementary Academy in Mokena and has been selected by her teacher, Mr. Evers, as this week's Standout Student. Congratulations Mya and to the Biddings family.

What is one essential you must have when studying?
Why I am studying I need music it helps me relax

What do you like to do when not in school or studying?
When I am not at school I like to watch anime, read books, and draw

What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be an Archeologist

What are some of your most played songs on your iPod?
I just like to listen to any music I don’t really have any favorite or anything like that

What is one thing people don't know about you?
Nobody in the whole school knows my middle name

Whom do you look up to and why?
I look up to all of my teachers because they don’t get paid a lot but they still deal with us kids and make sure that we have fun

What do you keep under your bed?
I keep sewing supplies under my bed, socks, and dust

Who is your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher is Mrs. P because she always made Religion fun and she is super nice

What is your favorite class and why?
My favorite class is social studies because learning about all the people in the past and what they have been through and what they didn’t have fascinates me. I love to think about what I would have done in their situations

What's one thing that stands out about your school?
One thing that stands out about my school is that the teachers are phenomenal and go above and beyond

What extracurricular(s) do you wish your school had?
I wish my school could have more clubs other than chess like a book club or something like that

What's your morning routine?
I wake up everyday at five o’clock, take a shower, brush my teeth, eat, then take care of my parakeets, and then head to school. I also thank God for another day.

If you could change one thing about school what would it be?
If I could change one thing about school it would be you don’t have to wear a uniform

What's your favorite thing to eat in the cafeteria?
We don’t have a cafeteria but I love Pizza Thursday’s

What's your best memory from school?
My best memory is when we have the end of the year picnics
