Katrina Klepczarek is a 4th grader at Noonan Elementary Academy in Mokena and has been selected by her teacher, Mrs. Mueller, as this week's Standout Student. Congratulations Katrina and to the Klepczarek family.

What is one essential you must have when studying?
The one essential I must have when studying is some kind of snack. I like when my mom slices up some tomatoes and cucumbers for me

What do you like to do when not in school or studying?
When I’m not in school or studying, I like to play video games with my brothers. I especially like building houses and farms in Minecraft

What is your dream job?
My dream job is to own a fancy bakery in Paris, France

What are some of your most played songs on your iPod?
I mostly like playing different Taylor Swift songs on my iPod

What is one thing people don't know about you?
One thing people don’t know about me is that I like to ride my skateboard. I’ve been riding since my 7th birthday. It has improved my balance a lot

Whom do you look up to and why?
The person I look up to the most is my Dad. He always teaches me many things and how to improve on others. Mainly he teaches me to be a better person

What do you keep under your bed?
I don’t keep anything under my bed

Who is your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher is my homeroom teacher, Mrs. Mueller, because she makes learning fun

What is your favorite class and why?
My favorite class is Science. We usually learn about interested topics and do some fun things

What's one thing that stands out about your school?
One thing that I think stands out about my school is that we learn all kinds of great things about God every day and on Fridays we have Mass that I always look forward to

What extracurricular(s) do you wish your school had?
I wish my school had a cheerleading team

What's your morning routine?
I wake up every morning at 6:05, I wash my face and brush my teeth before I get dressed then I eat breakfast in the kitchen with my 2 brothers where we hang out until it’s time to leave for school. It’s a 15-minute drive

If you could change one thing about school what would it be?
I wouldn’t change anything about our school. I love it just the way it is

What's your favorite thing to eat in the cafeteria?
My favorite food that Mrs. Cathy makes is her meatballs because they are so delicious. YUM

What's your best memory from school?
My favorite memories from school are the times I would see Mrs. Mary Beth and we would talk about when I was younger, and I’d play with toys in her class. So much fun back then. I miss those days.
