Noonan Elementary Student Attends Breakfast with the Bishop

Noonan Elementary Academy preschool student Matthew Krutul had the unique opportunity to enjoy breakfast with the Most Reverend R. Daniel Conlon, Bishop of Joliet on January 17th for the twentieth annual Breakfast with the Bishop. Each year, one student from each Catholic school of the Diocese of Joliet is invited to the University of St. Francis in Joliet to enjoy breakfast with the Bishop and participate in a prayer service. Those who attended this event also heard presentations by Bishop Conlon and by the Rev. John Belmonte, S.J., Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Joliet.

Each student was given a candle to take back to their school. “Breakfast with the Bishop” is an annual event that brings Catholic schools of the Diocese together as they prepare to celebrate Catholic Schools Week which occurs during the last week in January.

Noonan Elementary Academy is an independent Catholic school in Mokena serving preschool through 8th grade. Noonan provides its students with a rigorous and innovative educational program that is academically challenging and personally supportive.
