Residents in and around Mokena now have easier access to nationally ranked Northwestern Medicine Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute physicians
Residents in and around Mokena now have easier access to nationally ranked Northwestern Medicine Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute physicians. New cardiology services are now available at Northwestern Medicine Mokena, located at 21202 South Owens Road.
General cardiologists Lisa Pudusseri, DO, and Maitrayee S. Vadali, MD, are now seeing patients in the outpatient heart clinic, located in Suite 101. Dr. Pudusseri’s practice focus areas include aortic valve disease, coronary artery disease and cardiac oncology. Dr. Vadali’s practice focus areas include echocardiography, lipid disorders, valvular heart disease, coronary heart disease and atrial fibrillation.
Additional diagnostic heart testing is now available in Suite 101. Tests include cardiac holter and event monitors to record the heart’s electrical activity over a period of days; echocardiogram to assess the heart’s function; and stress echocardiogram to test the heart’s reactions during periods of both rest and exercise.

“Travel can sometimes be a barrier to treatment. Providing specialized care and diagnostic testing for patients closer to where they live and work will not only be more convenient, but it may also help patients keep their heart health top of mind,” said R. Kannan Mutharasan, MD, medical director of the Northwestern Medicine Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute at Palos Hospital.
Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute services are also available in the southwest suburbs at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Orland Park.
