Mokena Overeaters Anonymous Meeting to host an Open Meeting

The Mokena Overeaters Anonymous Meeting will be hosting an Open Meeting on April 18th, 10-11:30 a.m., Mokena Library,11327 West 195th Street, Mokena, IL (lower level meeting room). Open to all who desire to stop eating compulsively and non-OA visitors. Contact Denise J. for information about this open meeting: 815-263-6216.
Overeaters Anonymous is not a diet club. There are no dues, fees or weigh-ins. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop eating compulsively.
Founded in 1960 with three members, OA views compulsive eating as a physical, emotional and spiritual disease that can be arrested but not cured. Members seek recovery on all three levels by following a twelve-step program patterned after that of Alcoholics Anonymous.
For more information about this meeting, or other OA meetings in the area, visit the OA website at www.oa.org
