Providence Pushes Past Quincy and Into Quarterfinals

Providence Catholic High School took a long road trip down to Quincy and once they got there more than doubled up the home team to move into the playoff quarterfinals, the Herald-News reported.

"Maybe it was the nearly five-hour bus ride Saturday from New Lenox to Quincy, but a slow-starting Providence found itself behind 13-0 just 4:22 into its Class 6A second-round tilt against the Blue Devils," said the report, which went on to note that the Celtics (7-4) put up 45 straight points.
