Rep. McDermed Hosting Senior Tech Event
State Representative Margo McDermed hosting senior technology workshop in early August
Area residents are encouraged to sign-up for an educational technology seminar being held at the New Lenox Senior Housing Complex at 1090 S Cedar Road in New Lenox. The workshop is specifically geared towards seniors and will be held on Tuesday August 4th from 10-11am. The event is sponsored by State Rep. Margo McDermed (R-Mokena) and will have trained representatives from AT&T. Space is limited, so those interested in participating should call Rep. Participants will learn all about using smartphones, how to utilize today’s technology to keep in touch with loved ones, games, and apps that can help manage their health and lives. “In today’s technologically fast paced world, it can be difficult to keep up, especially for older generations.” Rep McDermed said. “I’m hoping that participants will find the answers to many of their questions and hopefully will be able to walk away knowing how to utilize technology to make their lives a little easier.”
