Driver Pulled Gun, May Have Fired During Road Rage Incident: Police

Illinois State Police are investigating the possibility that a gun was fired by one of the motorists involved Wednesday morning.

MOKENA, IL - State police are investigating an incident of alleged road rage that occurred on Interstate 80 near Wolf Road early Wednesday morning.

The incident between two motorists began around 7:07 a.m., according to a news release from Illinois State Police. Reports indicate the driver of a silver Chevrolet cross-over displayed a handgun and possible fired shots during the incident.

"At this time, there is not enough information to indicate a shooting took place," police indicated in the release.

No one was injured and there's no damage to the other driver's vehicle, according to police.

The driver of the Chevrolet is described as a white man who was wearing a yellow shirt at the time of the incident.
