IHOP's Coffee Pot Stolen In New Lenox: Police Blotter
Unrelated, a 21-year-old New Lenox resident was arrested on charges of breaking mail boxes.

FEB. 20
At 8:02 p.m., New Lenox Police responded to 2431 E. Lincoln Highway, LA Fitness, for a criminal damage to vehicle report. "The complainant advised that someone attempted to force entry to their vehicle while they worked out. The complainant advised that someone punctured a hole in the door of their vehicle and attempted to gain entry to the vehicle."

FEB. 22
At 12:33 p.m., New Lenox Police responded to 1312 N. Cedar Road for a fraud complaint. "The complainant advised that someone attempted to cash fraudulent business checks."

At 6:22 p.m., New Lenox Police responded to a criminal damage to vehicle call in the 300 block of Veterans Parkway. "The complainant advised that someone “keyed” (scratched) their vehicle."
At 7:17 p.m., New Lenox Police arrested Cody Joly, 24, of Essex, IL, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol. "The officer was dispatched to Nelson and Meadow Ridge in reference to a single car accident. The officer arrived on scene to investigate. The officer learned that the driver of the vehicle, Joly, was under the influence of alcohol. Joly posted bond and was released."
FEB. 23
At 11:55 p.m., New Lenox Police responded Portillo's, 2360 E. Lincoln Highway in reference to a vehicle damage incident. "The complainant advised that someone “keyed” (scratched) their vehicle."
FEB. 24
At 11:14 a.m., officers responded to Game Stop, 2344 E. Lincoln Highway, for a delayed report surrounding a retail theft. "The complainant advised that a (person) attempted to steal a PS4 Game System and several games from the store."
At 2:39 p.m., New Lenox police responded to 501 E. Lincoln Highway, the Walmart, surrounding a retail theft. At Walmart, officers detained New Lenox resident Eric Bass, 19, of the 100 block of Roberts Road. "The complainant advised that Bass stole $50 of video game accessories from the store.Bass posted bond and was released."
FEB. 25
At 7:23 a.m., police in New Lenox responded to the IHOP, 411 E. Lincoln Highway, for a delayed retail theft "The complainant advised that subjects stole a coffee pot from the restaurant and fled."
At 1:58 a.m., police investigated a criminal damage to property incident at Bent Tree Lane and Grand Prairie Drive. Police later arrested Michael Kowalski, 21, of the unit block of Abbey Court in New Lenox on charges of criminal damage to property, theft, and resisting arrest.
"The officer was dispatched to Bent Tree Lane in reference to a report of two subjects damaging mail boxes. The officer arrived and located the two subjects carrying mailboxes with the posts attached. The subjects fled from the officer. One of the offenders, Kowalski, was apprehended. Kowalski posted bond and was released. Investigation to continue."
