Funeral Set For UPS Driver Killed At Industrial Park

NEW LENOX, IL - Family and friends will gather on Sunday and Monday at the Kurtz Funeral Chapel in New Lenox to mourn the loss of 55-year-old New Lenox resident Thomas Mulka, a 34-year employee for UPS who was killed tragically on Tuesday evening in nearby Bolingbrook. Mulka died at the Vistar business during a work-related fatality.

The Bolingbrook Police Department said that Mulka's death appears to be accidental.

According to the published obituary, Mulka was born in Chicago and "was an avid Cubs fan, fun loving and truly one of the nicest people you could ever meet."

Visitation for Mulka is at the chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral service is on Monday starting with prayers at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church 241 W. Second Ave. New Lenox.

Interment will be private, the obituary states.
