FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way East baseball player Ryan Ritter has been drafted by the Chicago Cubs. Ritter played shortstop for Lincoln-Way East and was drafted by the Cubs in the 33rd round.
The recent high school graduate was one of three local players the Cubs chose. The other two players with local ties are Tyler Schlaffer from Homewood-Flossmoor High School and Zac Taylor from Downers Grove South High School.
