Saint Mary to Hold Community Christmas Concert

Performance Will Allow Audience Participation and Feature Professional Musicians

Saint Mary Mokena will host a free Christmas concert in the main church on Friday, December 14th at 7 p.m.

The “Do it Yourself” Christmas Concert, featuring professional musicians and an organist, will be open to audience participation.

Audience members will have the option to sit in one of four specially-designated areas of the church: Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass, depending on their vocal range. There will also be a seating section reserved for those wishing to listen to the concert without participating.

Featured carols will include “O Holy Night,” “Ring Christmas Bells,” “Silent Night” and Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.” Music booklets will be provided to the audience.

“With its traditional Christmas carols, this concert will help everyone get in the real Christmas spirit—the joyous anticipation and realization of our Savior’s birth,” says Simonetta Pacek, Associate Director of Sacred Music at Saint Mary.
