Senior Living Facility Coming to Mokena
Mokena Village Board OK'ed the facility this week. It will feature both independent living and memory-care units.
Construction is expected to begin in May, for a 144-unit building providing several options for senior housing. The Mokena Village Board signed off on the plans this week.
The three-story building on an 11.4-acre site at 21536 Wolf Rd. will offer 48 independent-living apartments with either one- or two-bedroom floorplans and a private kitchen, along with 56 assisted-living apartments that will be either studios or one or two bedrooms with a limited kitchen. The building will also feature 40 memory-care units.
