Several Car Burglaries Reported Overnight In Mokena: Cops

Police remind residents to make sure vehicles are always secure, and not to leave keys, key fobs or other valuables in their cars.

MOKENA, IL — Several cars were burglarized overnight between March 9 and March 10 in the Grasmere subdivision in Mokena, police said. The burglaries occurred on Lakeview and in each instance, the cars were left unsecured.

Police remind residents to make sure vehicles are always secure, and not to leave keys, key fobs or other valuables in their cars. The department said garage door openers left in vehicles parked in driveways or on the street have been used in previous incidents to enter garages.
