St. Mary Catholic School Celebrates Catholic School Week
St. Mary Catholic School, a private school in Mokena, Illinois, celebrates Catholic School Week with special activities.
St. Mary Catholic School (11409 West 195th Street, Mokena) students and faculty celebrated Catholic School Week, January 29 through February 3.
The week started off with students, faculty and volunteers being entertained by Rob Surette, during an inspiring 60-minute “Be Somebody” school assembly. All artwork produced during the show was thoughtfully designed by Rob to celebrate the magic of life and inspire students to be their best self.
Students also participated in fun events and learning activities.Sister Kim Wolf, liturgist and classroom aide, and other faculty joined students in the backwards day activities on Tuesday. Students participated in the annual Geography Bee on Wednesday, February 1, including first place winner Matthew Simmons and second place winner Nathan Ferin.
