Support the Fine Arts at Noonan Academy

Each year, the Noonan Academy Drama Program produces musicals that outshine local high school performances. However, we cannot accomplish this without support from local businesses and individuals. We are asking that you prayerfully consider either becoming a “Friend of the NEA Drama Club” with a $25-$74 commitment or place a Business Card size ad for $100. Your business information will also be shared via Noonan’s public social feeds for our current and alumni families to see in addition to our supporters. New this year, through the generous donation of a Noonan Family, we will be offering the Drama Program both in print (with color options) and digitally. Below, is a little more about how we raise up our students at the Academy to prepare them their future outside of the Academy through our Fine Arts Program.

The fine arts program is possible because of the foundation that is laid in the Academy’s preschool’s “Trim a Tree” program where students as young as three have the opportunity to sing for their parents. It then progresses to winter and spring performances on stage in the Jr. High, and to opportunities to participate in an oratory contest, choir, and music. In 5th grade students have the ability to showcase their talents in an annual talent show and state speech competition, in addition to choir, music, and drama.

The Drama Club is an opportunity in which students work closely as part of a team, which enables them to work toward a shared objective, such as a public performance. This promotes a sense of commitment, responsibility, and a strong sense of self, which is not only priceless in the classroom, but also within all the facets of life.

Noonan Elementary Academy strives TO TEACH, TO EDUCATE, and TO FORM each student. A student’s heart and aesthetic faculties need to be educated, with a love for authentic values, with a sense of what is good, right, noble, just, and beautiful. At Noonan Elementary Academy, education goes beyond knowledge -to the admiration of what is true, good, and beautiful. In addition to the retention of facts and figures, every subject contributes to the enrichment of the person.

The teachers at Noonan Elementary Academy are committed to contributing to each child’s intellectual and Christian maturity. To reach maturity, the student must have sufficient self-mastery to form character. It is essential that truths and values be put into action. The student will acquire a sense of responsibility, the ability to give oneself to others in service, integrity-in word and deed, and perseverance in difficult tasks.
