The Cancer Support Center: Walk of Hope & 5K Fun Run

On Sunday, May 18, 2014 join over 1,000 community members in The Cancer Support Center’s Walk of Hope and 5K Fun Run at Commissioner’s Park, 22108 S. 80th Avenue, Frankfort, Ill. The Walk of Hope raises funds and awareness to provide programs and resources at no charge for those living with a cancer diagnosis as well as to their loved ones, in the south suburbs. The pledge goal is $100 per walker.

“The Cancer Support Center has been a lifeline; bonds are formed due to shared cancer experiences – it has been a place to celebrate joys and carry each other’s sorrows,” said Patti, a Cancer Support Center participants and a Thyroid Cancer Survivor.
The Cancer Support Center gives strength, guidance and support to anyone living with a cancer diagnosis, as well as to their loved ones.  The Center is a community-based, volunteer-driven, donor-supported organization. The programs, resources and services are always delivered by professional therapists, counselors, nutritionists, and experts; and are provided in a warm, welcoming and nurturing setting at no cost to participants.
