More than 100 people joined AT&T recently at Governors State University (GSU) to attend an “It Can Wait” texting and driving event where students could experience, first-hand, the dangers of texting and driving through use of an AT&T wheel and pedal simulator.
GSU President Dr. Elaine P. Maimon welcomed participants, which included several local public officials, GSU students and AT&T representatives. Dr. Maimon, AT&T, and local public officials urged the students and adults in the audience to never text and drive, and instructed them to go to the http://www.itcanwait.com website and take the pledge to never text and drive again. Three hundred and seventy-five students took the pledge to never text and drive again.
