The village shared information about two new businesses which are now open in Mokena and a dedication ceremony for a veteran.
MOKENA, IL — At the village board meeting on Aug. 26, the village shared the openings of several new businesses in Mokena in the past month or so. The village shared information about two new businesses which are now open in Mokena.
The new Mokena businesses are:
- Guaranteed Rate, 19235 S. Wolf Road. Mortgage lending.
- R&R Acupuncture, 9405 Bormet Drive. Acupunture clinic.

A marker dedication ceremony will be held for Patriot Charles Denny at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. Denny was a patriot of the American Revolution. The event will be held by the Fox Valley Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, village of Mokena and Mokena VFW Post 725.
The ceremony will be held at Pioneer Cemetery, at Wolf Road and Denny Avenue. Refreshments will be provided by the Founders Crossing Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
