Village Engineer Paul Pearson Retires

The search is on for a replacement in the Village of Mokena.

MOKENA, IL -- Village Engineer Paul Pearson retired recently after 20 years with the Village of Mokena. He was recognized with a proclamation and presented other gifts and accolades during a recent public meeting, according to a news release from the village.

Since Pearson was hired as top engineer in the village, Mokena nearly doubled in size and turned into "a bustling suburban community," according to the release. Pearson was credited as an influential influencer in "modernizing Mokena's streets, roadways, and other public works infrastructure to accommodate this growth."

The search for Pearson's replacement for village engineer is ongoing, a spokeswoman for the village indicated on Thursday.
