Pioneer Cemetery will be the solemn site for a ceremony Saturday, September 11, at 11 a.m. to remember those that tragically lost their lives September 11, 2001, in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and near Shanksville, PA.

The ceremony will additionally remember all others that ultimately lost their lives or were impacted by the terrorist attacks on our country 20 years ago.

The observance will feature personnel from William Martin VFW Post 725, as well as first responders from the Mokena Fire Protection District and the Mokena Police Department, with U. S. Air Force Major General Mark W. Anderson (Retired) presenting the keynote address.  Mayor Frank Fleischer will also make remarks.  The public is invited to attend.
