Village Sign Damaged by Drunk Driver: Cops
Police charged a 21-year-old man with a DUI after finding a car crashed into a sign at 191st and Old Lagrange Road last month.

MOKENA, IL -- A Frankfort man was charged with a DUI and other offenses after police in Mokena said he drove his car into a sign owned by the village. Police responded to 191st St. and Old Lagrange Road near the White Castle restaurant at 9550 W. 191st St. at 12:35 a.m. on April 13 and found Jeremy D. Murray, 21 near the scene of the damage.
Murray told police he was coming from a Denny's location that was 50 feet away, according to a police report. He allegedly told police during questioning that he had been drinking "too much to drive" and also failed field sobriety tests, according to police.
The car, a blue 1999 Lincoln Town Car, was towed from the scene. Police said it crashed into a sign at the northwest corner of the intersection at 191st and Old Lagrange.

Upon a search of the vehicle, police said they found an open 12 oz. can of Bud Light.
Murray was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, driving off roadway, illegal transportation of alcohol and property damage.
