Mokena police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found Monday evening.
The woman’s body was discovered around 9:30 p.m. Monday, in a car parked inside a garage in the 19200 block of Thornham Lane, after police were called for a well being check, said Police Chief Steve Vaccaro. She appeared to have been deceased for several days.
Cause and manner of death are not yet clear. The Will County Coroner is not yet releasing the results of an autopsy conducted Tuesday. Police are treating it at as a death investigation. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
