Wedding Ring Lost At Tanning Salon Turned In To Police

UPDATE, Wednesday 4:30 a.m.: The wedding ring was turned in at the Mokena police station and reunited with Mary Orloff.

MOKENA, IL — A woman is heartbroken after realizing she left her wedding ring at a tanning salon in Mokena on Monday. The ring was personally made for Mary Orloff with her mother's diamonds.

"This has broken my heart," Orloff said. "The ring was made after my mom passed and it was made with her diamonds. The ring is priceless, and I cherished it."

Orloff said she had the ring at the Unlimited Tan salon at 9434 W. 191st St. in Mokena. It was lost sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 22.

Three hours later, Orloff realized she did not have the ring. When she went to get it back from the tanning salon, she was devastated to find that it had not been turned in.

If anyone has it or finds it, turn it in at the Mokena police station or Unlimited Tan.

"No questions asked," Orloff said. "I will never forgive myself for being careless and forgetting it."
