'Workplace Mishap' Kills 21-Year-Old Man in Mokena

MOKENA, IL - A 21-year-old Midlothian man died Wednesday after sustaining work-related injuries at a job site in Mokena.

Anas L. Ali was pronounced dead by the Will County Coroner's Office at 5:50 p.m., according to a message on the coroner's media line.

Around 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, "Mr. Ali appeared to sustain multiple injuries due to a workplace mishap," according to the message.

The Will County Sheriff's Office and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration have begun an investigation.

The location of the death reported on the coroner's line is in same area as the Exxon Mobil Pipeline Company. A representative on the Exxon Mobil media line terminated a phone call inquiring about the matter.
