Zumba Program Offered By Mokena Park District
Sessions are set for Tuesdays and Fridays from February through April at The Oaks Recreation Center.

MOKENA, IL – A new Zumba program is available to residents of Mokena and nearby through the Mokena Park District. Classes will be held on Tuesday and Friday mornings from February through April at The Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center at 10847 La Porte Road in Mokena.
The "Zumba Gold" class focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination and cardiovascular and muscular condition, according to a news release from the park district. Tuesday sessions will run from 10:45 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. from Feb. 12 until April 16 and Friday sessions are set for 10:20 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. from Feb. 15 until April 12.
Classes are geared toward Zumba beginners, active older adults and those with limited mobility. It "recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity," the news release states.

Free classes will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 5 and Friday, Feb. 8 for anyone looking to try it out.
